Happenings and Events
At The Big Bad Woof, we have a firm commitment to the Community to be not only
a great natural pet supply store, but to also serve as a vehicle for education.
It is with pride that we offer regular adoption events and educational seminars
to the community at large. Please stop back for regular updates to this
page since we add listings all the time.
Daily Events ~ We are please to offer our North Window to local
Rescue organisations on a first come, first served basis for kitten and cats
in the KittyWalk enclosure. Come and see some of the local felines available
for adoption!

These agile racers are here again! Join us for a terrific adoption and festival with plenty of former racers who are looking for a forever home, and an opportunity to meet many of the people who have already adopted these special athletes...........to preview some of the available greyhounds please visit their website! Greyhound Welfare is a greyhound rescue and placement group. 3:00pm | All About Puppy Mills ~ HSUS is Taking Action
For decades, The HSUS has fought puppy mills on all fronts. From
conducting investigations to strengthening laws, we won't stop until
puppy mills are shut down for good.
Kathleen Summers will be on hand in the store to discuss
Puppy Mills and how we as consumers can take action to prevent inhumane
treatment of breeding dogs and their offspring. Please come in and get
educated on this important topic and learn what you can do to save
lives.
HSUS will also have information available provide information for people who want to know how they
can buy a puppy without supporting a puppy mill.

Please join the Washington Humane Society
for an adoption event with BOTH dogs and cats that have been
either ended up at the New York Avenue shelter, or been surrendered or siezed by DC's finest Humane Officers. We are pleased to
host them and hope all will come to see the wonderful rescues they have
available!

Please come and see the lovely cats and kittens that are being fostered by the tireless volunteers opf Companion Animal Rescue Alliance.
They always have wonderful cats and kittens available and looking for
their new forever home.............this day we will have kittens
available for adoption. Come by and meet that special cat that you can
call your own!
