When we first thought about opening The Big Bad Woof there was no question that we would apply the same principles of how we ate, lived and shopped to how we would stock & run our store.
For us this means :
- Finding products with the least environmental footprint,
- Supporting small, local, minority, and fair trade companies when making product selections,
- Actively try to keep local money local instead of using large national companies,
- Promoting change by providing a place where organizations with similar sustainable goals can come and provide information to the public.
We deliver to a 10 mile radius from either store location with very affordable delivery rates, and we can deliver raw diets if needed.
We offer personalized service and can deliver a variety of pet supplies, food and litter that are not available in our stores. Just ask us if you do not see it on our site or in store!
We try to stay very competitive on our pricing when comparing apples to apples. We also offer a Woof Club rewards program and offer a large number of Frequent Buyer programs through the manufacturers which many big box and on-line retailers cannot offer.
We also have a variety of items that hit different price points so that we can accommodate our customers on fixed incomes who want to take care of their animals.
Besides great customer service and delivery? We have seasoned staff who can help with a multitude of diet related issues including digestive issues, skin and coat, allergies, and natural flea and tick treatments.
We offer pop-up events for pet acupuncture, grooming, pet training, local CSA’s, and other community outreach educational events at each store location.
We have a number of customers who order products which we may not carry in the stores due to space considerations. They can call us, come into the stores, or place their order online, we will get the items in for them.
Once the product arrives at the store, the customer is contacted and the item is held for in-store pick-up. It’s that simple!
